Macao Beach

My walk today was to and along Macao Beach in the Dominican Republic. I took some surfing lessons and had time to stroll along the beach. This is a real treat for me since I live....
about 800 miles from the ocean. The boardwalk takes you over a swamp and to the beach.
It is a rustic, and beautiful beach, lots of locals, only one major hotel.
It is situated in a bay and has nice waves, hence the number of people surfing there.
I had to stop for a break and enjoy a nice fresh coconut.
It was nice to not be at a crowded resort, see how the locals live and walk a beautiful beach that felt like I had it all to myself.
