R&B found it's soul in 2025
Yeah I know, we always bash the new generation for 'destroying' art and the music that we grew up with and help us overcome. But is also true that music sometimes is a cycle, and whatever it's old, becomes new again and we recycle moods, sounds and rythms.
Out of a Instagram reaction I was inspired to check out the 'new music' out there and see whats popping. Since there is no radio and I am usually traveling outside of the US, is sometimes hard to keep up with the new artists.
Fortunately I found a playlist that rescue the soulful gems from a 2025 Rhythm & Blues year.
So far I really like the list including the Beyonce-esque vibes from Ari Lennox. The smooth dancing from JayDon and the smooth singing from 6lack. If you ever enjoyed RnB from the 90s and the 2000s, you'll feel right at home.
