La tierra tiembla (ejercicio poético) (Esp | Eng)

Hace unos años escribí un pequeño poema en recuerdo del cineasta italiano Luchino Visconti, uno de mis preferidos, quien realizó en 1948 el filme La terra trema. Hoy, en la terrible situación que vive mi país (Venezuela), recordé ese poemita y lo reescribí, y ahora se los entrego.

La tierra tiembla
titulaba Visconti
a uno de sus filmes
desconocido y luego pasmoso

Punzante     su frase conturba
El artista de la muerte temida
nos acendra el desasosiego
es la fuerza que nos acerca
al designio del dios

A few years ago I wrote a short poem in memory of the Italian filmmaker Luchino Visconti, one of my favorites, who made the film La terra trema in 1948. Today, given the terrible situation in my country (Venezuela), I remembered that little poem and rewrote it, and now I share it with you.

The Earth Trembles

unknown and later astonishing

His phrase is piercing and unsettling
The artist of dreaded death
refines our fear
it is the force that draws us closer
to the design of God
