Diary of ongoing hip issues.

Civilian Ortho R Hip 1 joke.jpg
On Monday July 30, I went to a private Orthopedic Dr/practice, where a bunch
Of xray images were taken, both of my right hip and lower back.
(The above image is one of them, to which I added my own touch)
In late Aug 2017, the VA took images of my right hip which did not
Show ANY DAMAGE or deterioration.
Yesterday I gave the private images to the VA, and they took more of their own.
My Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R I always thought that stood for
Pain Management & Rehabilitation) called me this afternoon to say that all
The images had been received and read, and now the VA agrees with the
Outside ortho, that I have advanced Arthritis in my right hip. She said
That the images from last year were read as showing none of this damage,
(Her words)Which I find Very Odd

So her message (VA has an email system called 'secure messaging' within
The My Healthe Vet website) read:
Hello Mr. Smith,

Per our conversation a little while ago, I was able to view the uploaded hip xrays from your private Ortho as well as the hip xrays at the VA taken yesterday, 08/07/18.

The xrays were read by the VA radiologist as (partial report):

Advanced right and mild left hip joint degenerative changes,

progressed compared to 2017 right hip radio-graphs

She is in the process of scheduling the cortisone injection.
