Can someone explain why this is happening?

I create a post in Palnet
I POST that post in Palnet.
It SHOWS in my blog on both Palnet and Steemit.
I come back hours (or in the case of my post from Saturday)
To create a NEW POST and the last one I posted is still there, as if
It is waiting for me to post it. This is most frustrating, as I was
Afraid to hit "Clear" but I didn't want to hit 'POST' and
Possibly have a duplicate post that would be there
Forever, since we can't delete stuff from the
Blockchain. I did hit clear, twice now
Just this morning, the last time
Was so I could type in these
Words for this post.

Please help me understand
