The Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok—the first and largest ethnographic museum in Poland in terms of the number of objects in its collection, established after World War II—covers an area of 38 hectares. The material culture of various ethnographic groups—namely the Pogórzans, Dolinians, Lemkos, and Boykos—is displayed in separate sections, each corresponding to the physiography of the region where the group once lived

The wayside shrine visible in the foreground is not described in detail. Behind it is a single-building farmstead from Równe, Krosno County (1824), painted dark brown with earth pigments mixed with kerosene (above)

A cottage from Niebock, Brzozów County (1892); the building consists of two living rooms, separated by a hallway from the stable and a storage room. In the corner of one of the rooms stands a large stove with a cooking hearth and a hood over the bread-baking niche in front of the bread oven

The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is made of fir wood and sits on a stone foundation. It is covered with shingles and surrounded by arcades. Consisting of two structurally independent sections, it comprises a tower whose lower level serves as the church’s vestibule and a main body divided into a nave and a three-sided chancel. A two-level sacristy is located on the north side.
