There are better options

To fellow Hiveans, better options of social media are quite obvious, but as a friendly reminder, there are also better options for so many other digital things. Options for Google products, mega-monster social media corporations, and USA-made things. That is, if you for some reason would want to boycott them.

Support and use:
decentralized, open-source, smaller, and/or local businesses.

Say no to:
lies, hate, bullies, racism, fascism, dictators, occupation, annexation, genocide. Taking away from the poor and giving it to the rich.

It's not much what I or you can do. A tiny drop in the vast ocean. But I hope there are thousands, tens of thousands, and perhaps millions of others doing tiny and not-so-tiny things. Saying out loud facts about what is happening out there in the world. And taking a stance. Saying that it's not okay. Protest. Take your money elsewhere.

For us Hiveans, we already know a bunch of cool dapps.
So there's the decentralized part.

Here's a cool website that lists a big bunch of European alternatives if you find that you've mostly used U.S.-made and want that to change.

Yes, there are lots that I don't know of, not because I'm a Finn but because of personal interests and laziness, so I order you to tell me what I might not know of because you don't know what I know before you ask me if I know about it.

Oh, but wait a minute. If you tell me something I don't know, then it's no longer something I don't know because you've told me about it, so... this is a Schrödinger's insanebrainwave that we have here.
