So we're down a moon sister

A long time ago, the game introduced us to Nicole Reeyn who was some mysterious woman that happened to know about the reality of the world when anything born to that world had their memories decided by the world tree Irminsul. The way they had her speak back then strongly hinted that she was actually this antagonistic goddess who had attacked us at the start of the game and the question was why was she now helping. Basing that on the story of Gnosticism that this game was based around, the answer was that she had had her body taken over by the final boss of this game but that body was mortally wounded in a conflict before the start of the game and so her soul was leaking out of it and it was this soul that was helping us. Her name itself Nicole even suggests this story arc as Nicole is derived from Nike the Goddess of Victory, specifically humanity's victory which will be the point of the game.

Then these new devs came in. They repurposed the goddess into one of four creations of the final boss which doesn't make sense since there's four of them and we'd only encountered her at the start of the game where she gave no hints that she was part of a group. With her role changed, Nicole's role has to be repurposed as well. Based again on her characteristics, I figured the only thing befitting of her would be one of the moon goddesses. These beings predate the systems forcing everyone's memories to adhere to the records of Irminsul so she should still be able to see reality even in this diminished role. But they decided to make her an angel which in this game are enslaved beings of the final boss that come from the world itself. Like other versions of the angels in this game, they do not have the ability to see through Irminsul's records so her ability to do so now makes no sense.

Also she and Alice are members (Alice is actually the leader) of a witch coven with extraordinary powers. However those powers still pale in comparison to one of those angel adjacent beings, namely Venti the Anemo Archon. It was stated that he sounded defeated them and in recent events, he was immediately able to detect that they were watching him and was able to make them stop. However he has never been shown to know that he's inside of a video game. Alice and Nicole on the other hand are now shown to see the video game title cards, text boxes and can even move "the camera" around. So who exactly is more powerful here? You have people who can break the fourth wall but they can't beat the god that can't. These gods are affected by Irminsul since they are born to the world but they aren't even though at least one of them is also part of this world. (also some of them are just human) Yet the gods can see everything they are doing and are dangerous enough that they don't dare cross them. Can you guys make sense of this because I sure can't? Nicole looks pretty though.
