IFC S1 R29 - Entry; Elevator Pitches

The Rules:Compose an elevator pitch of approximately 100-150 words (roughly 30-45 seconds of speech) to promote Steemit, Cryptocurrencies/Blockchain, and/or the ifc@ifc.

Ding

brief awkward glances exchanged
"Oh, hey! Have you heard about Steemit? No? I'm so excited about it! You should totally check it out. It's a place where you can blog about whatever you want, but when people like your posts, they 'upvote' them, and you gain a few pennies for your efforts. If you get a lot of attention, pennies can become dollars - it's all set up on the Steem blockchain."

"What?"
"You've never heard of a blockchain?"
"Oh, don't worry. I hadn't either, but it's a network of cryptocurrencies - sort of like a public record of trade of digital currencies like bitcoin and Steem. It works much like the global currency exchange, except it's all online and digital. You can invest physical currency, and even cash out just like the stock market! I use Steemit and post a lot to the Information Finding Challenge, which is a lot of fun."

"Huh? Oh, yeah, sorry. We call it ifc@ifc for short. It's an online community, on Steemit and the Discord chat app, that hosts a series of challenges. Judges vote on the winners of each challenge, and there is some opportunity to roleplay, solve riddles, meet others in the community, and even earn Steem! You wanna check it out? I can send you an invite right now."
