Breaking the Mold

I recently took a long break from social media and in large part internet use all together.
Why?
Because I was burnt out. I needed a break to recollect and to recharge.
You see, I work hard, and I hustle as much as I possibly can. I've been working what equates to two, sometimes three, jobs for 15 years - and I get tired.
After all that time freelancing and/or working contracts, I've finally realized that I've been working hard to make other people happy and/or wealthy. That hit me hard. I grew up believing if you work hard and put in your time, eventually you get yours. Scraping by and barely surviving is not that promised scenario, however. The world has changed.

While I had my head buried trying to reach that fictional goal I was promised, I failed to realize people like Steve Jobs were out there changing how things worked. The good news though is that now is a great time to realize my dreams. I have stories to tell. I have things I want to make. And I have all the tools I need to make it happen save the time and capital required to carve these things out.

But there are ways to find (or make) the time if I can put aside the capital. One of the major issues with my time/money ratio over the years, however, was that I spent so much time making other people's projects that I didn't have time for my own. So change is required. I'm working on that, and Steem may be part of it - we'll see. All I know for sure is what I've been doing does not work.

More as things develop...
