Saludos estimados amigos de Hive account@family-friends, espero que hayan disfrutado de un excelente fin de semana.
En esta oportunidad les comparto imágenes de un acto de confirmación que se llevó a cabo en la ciudad de Caracas tres días antes de que ocurriera el desastre ocasionado por dos terremotos que prácticamente destruyó el estado vecino de La Guaira.

En esa oportunidad viajé a Caracas porque iba a ser padrino de confirmación de Luis, el novio de mi hija, que ya se había preparado espiritualmente para recibir el sacramento.

La importancia de este acto no es solo porque es requisito para casarse, sino porque confiere al contrayente un carácter que le permite tomar ya las decisiones adecuadas para ser una buena persona, con los valores adecuados para ello

En el acto, había mas de 20 contrayentes, la mayoría estudiantes egresados de la Universidad Metropolitana y fue presidido por el obispo, quien de manera muy jocosa, comenzó el acto dándonos la bienvenida a una confirmación "mundial", aludiendo al ambiente futbolístico que nos rodea. Además nos regaló una bonita homilía muy reflexiva y fácil de entender dirigida a la práctica de los valores familiares y a no tener miedo.

Fue la segunda vez que visitaba ese recinto universitario y quede muy agradado por ese acto tan sencillo pero tan significativo en la vida de todos, especialmente de los jóvenes.

Luego de terminar el acto y salir del auditorio de la Universidad, nos reunimos en el patio a tomar algunas fotografías para recordar este momento e inmortalizarlo.

Al culminar de la celebración, nos dirigimos a un restaurante cercano a disfrutar de un rico almuerzo y brindar por el éxito del nuevo cristiano confirmado.

Attending a Global Confirmation Ceremony

Greetings, dear friends at Hive account@family-friends. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Today I’d like to share some photos of a confirmation ceremony that took place in Caracas three days before the disaster caused by two earthquakes that virtually destroyed the neighboring state of La Guaira.

On that occasion, I traveled to Caracas because I was to be the confirmation godfather for Luis, my daughter’s fiancé, who had already prepared himself spiritually to receive the sacrament.

The importance of this sacrament lies not only in the fact that it is a requirement for marriage, but also because it imparts to the recipient a character that enables them to make the right decisions to be a good person, with the appropriate values to do so

At the ceremony, there were more than 20 confirmands, most of whom were graduates of the Universidad Metropolitana, and it was presided over by the bishop, who, in a very humorous way, began the ceremony by welcoming us to a “global” confirmation, alluding to the soccer atmosphere surrounding us. He also gave us a beautiful, thoughtful, and easy-to-understand homily focused on living out family values and not being afraid.

It was my second time visiting that university campus, and I was very pleased by that simple yet meaningful event in everyone’s lives, especially those of young people.

After the event ended and we left the university auditorium, we gathered in the courtyard to take some photos to remember this moment and capture it forever.

At the end of the celebration, we headed to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch and toast to the success of the newly confirmed Christian.
