Tonight - my poetry
Tonight
Tonight ,
I looked at the sky and
remembcred us
standing on the driveway ;
a blanket wrapped
around imy shoulders ,
our faces upturned in wonder
at the rare sight of
northern lights .
That was before I was
your courage ;
before you expected
me to hold you up .
I would do anything
to keep your heart beating
but what a dream it was
before ;
when you stood on your own
and I was just yours
