Yucca Mash

Ingredients
🥥 2 yuccas
🧈 1 stick of unsalted butter
🧀 4 oz of cream cheese
🥛 1 cup of heavy cream
🧄 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
🧂 1 teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
🌿 Optional: Melted butter for garnish
🌿 Optional: Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
Instructions
1- Prepare the Yucca:
- Start by peeling the yuccas. Ensure all the waxy skin is removed.
- Cut the peeled yuccas into bite-sized pieces for faster cooking.
2- Boil the Yucca:
- Place the yucca pieces in a pot and cover them with water.
- Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Boil for about 30 minutes or until the yucca is fork-tender.
3- Mash the Yucca:
- Drain the yucca pieces thoroughly and return them to the pot.
- Add the unsalted butter, cream cheese, and heavy cream to the pot.
- Season with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Mash the mixture until smooth and creamy.
4- Garnish and Serve:
- Drizzle some melted butter over the top if desired.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives.
- Serve hot and enjoy your yucca mash!
