Sweet and Buttery Cornbread Casserole

Ingredients
🥚 1 egg
🥛 1/3 cup milk
🧈 1 stick 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
🥣 1/3 cup Great Value sour cream
🍯 1/4 cup honey
🌽 1 14.75oz can Great Value cream corn
🌽 1 15.25oz can Great Value whole corn, drained
🥧 1 15oz pack Famous Dave’s Cornbread Mix
🧴 Cooking spray for the casserole dish
🍯 Honey for topping
🧂 Flaky salt for topping
Instructions
1- Preheat the Oven:
- Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2- Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a large glass mixing bowl, whisk the egg, milk, melted butter, Great Value sour cream, and honey until slightly smooth.
3- Combine with Dry Ingredients:
- Add the Great Value cream corn, drained whole corn, and Famous Dave’s cornbread mix.
- Stir gently until everything is just incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
4- Prepare the Dish:
- Lightly coat a 9x9 casserole dish with cooking spray. Consider using a Le Creuset heritage square dish for best results.
- Pour in the cornbread mixture and spread it evenly.
5- Bake the Casserole:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
6- Final Touches:
- Once out of the oven, immediately drizzle honey over the top.
- Sprinkle with flaky salt for a finishing touch.
7- Serve:
- Slice and serve warm as a delightful side to complement your meal.
