Pepper Steak

Ingredients
๐ฅฉ 2 pounds of top round beef steak, thinly sliced
๐ถ๏ธ 2 bell peppers or a bunch of mini bell peppers

1 large onion
๐ง 3 cloves of garlic
๐ฝ 1 tablespoon corn starch
๐ถ 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
๐ถ 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
๐ฑ 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
๐ถ๏ธ 1 teaspoon black pepper
๐ถ๏ธ 1 teaspoon paprika
๐ง 1 teaspoon garlic powder
๐ง 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
๐ถ๏ธ 1 teaspoon chili powder
๐ซ 4 tablespoons olive oil
Sauce
๐ 1 1/2 cups of chicken or beef broth
๐ฌ 1 tablespoon brown sugar
๐ฝ 1 tablespoon corn starch
๐ถ 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
๐ฟ 1 teaspoon sesame oil
๐ถ๏ธ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
๐ง 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1- Marinate the Beef:
- In a large bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with corn starch, dark soy sauce, rice vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, seasoned salt, and chili powder.
- Mix well to ensure the beef is evenly coated. Allow it to marinate for at least an hour in the refrigerator.
2- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a separate bowl, mix together the broth, brown sugar, corn starch, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and salt until well combined. Set aside.
3- Prep the Vegetables:
- Slice the bell peppers and onion thinly. Mince the garlic cloves and set them aside.
4- Cook the Beef:
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef and cook for about 10 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally.
5- Add Vegetables:
- Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the pan. Toss well and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
6- Add Sauce and Simmer:
- Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir to combine and cover the pan. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
7- Serve:
- Serve the pepper steak over white rice or mashed potatoes and enjoy the savory, tender goodness.
