Loaded nachos
Nothing quite satisfies like a platter of homemade loaded nachos, brimming with delicious toppings and bursting with flavors. This dish is quick and easy to prepare, making it a family favorite especially for game day gatherings. Ingredients
🧀 8 oz tortilla chips
🥩 1 lb ground beef
🌮 1 packet taco seasoning
🌊 1/4 cup water
🥫 1 cup black beans, washed and drained
🧀 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
🍅 2 medium tomatoes, diced
🥑 2 avocados
🧄 1 clove garlic, minced
🍋 1 lime, juiced
🌿 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
🧅 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
🌶️ 1/4 teaspoon cumin
🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
🧀 1 cup queso cheese sauce
Instructions
1- Prepare the Ground Beef:
- In a skillet, crumble and brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and water; let it simmer until the mixture thickens. Add red chili flakes for extra heat. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
2- Prepare the Guacamole:
- In a bowl, mash avocados. Mix in diced tomatoes, lime juice, minced garlic, cilantro, red onion, salt, pepper, and cumin. Adjust seasoning to taste.
3- Assemble the Nachos:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Spread tortilla chips evenly across the sheet.
- Top with seasoned beef, black beans, and shredded cheese.
- Place queso in a zip-top bag, cut a corner, and drizzle over the nachos.
4- Bake:
- Place in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
5- Add Fresh Toppings:
- Remove from the oven and immediately top with diced tomatoes and freshly made guacamole.
6- Serve:
- Serve hot, ideally with sides like salsa, sour cream, or additional guacamole.
