Chicken Egg Rolls
Bring a touch of Asian-inspired flavors to your table with these delicious Spicy Chicken Egg Rolls. Encased in crispy wrappers, these rolls are packed with seasoned chicken, vibrant vegetables, and a fiery sauce that will tantalize your taste buds. Ingredients
🍗 1 chicken breast, finely chopped
🥬 1/2 cabbage, shredded
🥕 1 1/2 cups shredded carrots
🌶️ 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
🧄 1 tablespoon garlic paste
🫚 1 tablespoon ginger paste
🍶 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
🥢 1/4 cup soy sauce
🥟 1 package of egg roll wrappers
🌾 2 tablespoons flour (for sealing)
💧 Water (for sealing)
Instructions
1- Cook the Chicken:
- Place a pan over high heat and add the finely chopped chicken breast.
- Cook for about 10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring occasionally.
2- Prepare the Filling:
- Once the chicken is cooked, add 1 tablespoon each of ginger paste and garlic paste to the pan.
- Mix in 2 tablespoons of chili garlic sauce and stir well to combine.
3- Add Vegetables and Sauces:
- Add the shredded carrots to the pan and cook for a few minutes until slightly softened.
- Add the shredded cabbage, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, and 1/3 cup of teriyaki sauce.
- Stir everything together and continue cooking until the cabbage softens slightly.
4- Drain and Cool the Filling:
- Transfer the filling to a colander to drain any excess liquid.
- Allow the filling to cool completely before assembling the egg rolls.
5- Assemble the Egg Rolls:
- Mix 2 tablespoons of flour with water to form a paste for sealing the egg rolls in a small bowl.
- Place one egg roll wrapper on a flat surface and add 2 tablespoons of filling onto it.
- Roll it up snugly, using the flour paste to seal the edges. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
6- Fry the Egg Rolls:
- Heat oil in a deep pan until hot.
- Carefully add the egg rolls and fry them until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel.
7- Serve:
