Cheeseburger Quesadillas
Transform the classic flavors of a cheeseburger into a delightful, golden-brown quesadilla. With savory ground beef, caramelized onions, and melted cheese encased in flour tortillas, these cheeseburger quesadillas are an innovative and delicious twist on two beloved dishes. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a game-day snack, they are served with a tangy dipping sauce that elevates the whole experience.
Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped
๐ซ 1 tablespoon olive oil
๐ง 2 tablespoons butter
๐ง 1/2 teaspoon salt
๐ฅฉ 1 pound ground beef
๐ง 1 teaspoon garlic powder
๐ง 1 teaspoon salt
๐ถ๏ธ 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
๐ถ๏ธ 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
๐ฅซ 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
๐ก 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
๐ฅ Avocado cooking spray
๐ฏ 8 flour tortillas
๐ง 3 cups mozzarella cheese (or your favorite cheese)
For the Dipping Sauce:
๐ฅ 1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup
๐ก 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1 tablespoon finely chopped onions
๐ฅ 1 tablespoon finely chopped pickles
๐ฅ 2 tablespoons of pickle juice
Instructions
1- Caramelize the Onions:
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Once the butter has melted, add the chopped onions and sprinkle with salt.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden. Set aside.
2- Prepare the Ground Beef:
- In another skillet over high heat, add the ground beef.
- Season it with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and mustard.
- Cook the mixture thoroughly for about 10 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
3- Assemble the Quesadillas:
- Lightly spray a nonstick skillet with avocado cooking spray and heat over medium to low heat.
- Place a flour tortilla in the skillet, and on one half, sprinkle a layer of cheese.
- Add a portion of the beef mixture and caramelized onions, followed by another layer of cheese.
- Fold the tortilla and cook on both sides until both are crispy and golden brown.
4- Prepare the Dipping Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, chopped onions, pickles, and pickle juice.
- Mix thoroughly until well combined.
5- Serve the Quesadillas:
- Once the quesadillas are cooked, cut them into triangles.
- Serve hot with the tangy dipping sauce on the side.
