Prompt: Backyard Magic

This is my drawing for day 25 of the justdraw challenge. The prompt is backyard magic. What I made is this quiet snowy night scene with a little black cat sitting on the fence under some warm string lights.I wanted it to feel calm and a bit magical, like the backyard turns special when it snows at night. There's the cat just chilling on the wooden fence, looking out at the falling snow, with bare trees in the background, a big full moon peeking through, and those little yellow lights strung across making everything glow softly. The house in the back has one warm window lit up like someone's inside cozying up, and the whole thing is mostly cool grays and browns except for the lights and the moon.

Getting the snow to look like it's actually falling and not just random dots is a little tricky to do. That is the same for the tree it is rather looking gigantic vs the whole composition. The string lights were annoying too; if I made them too bright they overpowered everything, if too dim you couldn't see the magic vibe. And positioning the cat so it looks peaceful but not lost in the scene... redrew that little guy a few times starting small and eventually he turned out a little fat, changing how he's sitting and where his tail curls. The fence perspective was another pain to keep straight without it looking flat. Anyway, here it is, my little piece of backyard magic on a snowy night with the cat enjoying the quiet moment.
