PV01, Drawing step by step /Rising Star
Good morning, colleagues and friends. I hope you are having a wonderful time and enjoying a good cup of coffee to start this beautiful new day. Today, I’m going to show you a new drawing I created, inspired by one of the beautiful cards from the game. In this instance, I chose one of the common instruments—a microphone named i254 PV01. As you can see, it is a microphone featuring a lovely green color and a classic design, similar to ones we’ve seen in some of my previous drawings. You may have already caught a sneak peek of the finished drawing on the cover image, but in this post, I’m going to walk you through the entire process, from start to finish.
To begin, I started by sketching the shape of the main frame. In the next step, I would add the actual drawing inside this frame. I created it using the standard classic design that I typically use. Take a look at how it turned out.
Once I had finished that step using my Adobe drawing tool, I drew the microphone's handle; this was the very first part of the device that I sketched. After the handle, I moved on to the upper section—specifically, the part that includes the spherical head and the internal dividers in the center that connect the head to the handle.
With that ready, the only thing left was to complete the sketch itself. I just needed to add the bottom section—what would be the microphone's power cable. Only a fraction of the cable is included in the drawing, just as it appears on the original card—though, as you can imagine, it would be much longer in real life. Additionally, on the spherical head—which serves to protect the device's internal mechanisms—I drew a few lines to divide it into two halves; this ensured that the final design matched the look of the original card perfectly.
Alright, with the sketch now complete, I was ready to start painting. I used a digital brush within the ibisPaint app to create the background, filling it in with a dark green color. I felt this color was a fitting choice because the microphone itself is green, creating a nice, cohesive match. Next, I painted the frame blue—exactly as it appears on the original card. After that, I painted the interior background blue as well—though in various shades—and finally, the microphone, which I colored green and black, with a few white accents. Now, you’ll see—in order—how I went about adding all of these elements.
And to wrap things up for today, friends, here is the final result. This is where I added the name of the game and the card itself; with that, it’s complete. So, I’ll see you for the next drawing. Blessings to all!
