JH93, Drawing step by step /Rising Star

Welcome to a new drawing! Today I painted a new microphone from the "Common" series of cards, specifically the i263 JH93 model. As you can see, it's a stylish microphone, light blue in color, with a modern and sophisticated design. In this post, you'll see the entire painting process from start to finish. Well, to begin, I first made a sketch of the card's frame. Today I used the frame design that has a more rectangular shape.

Once I had the frame ready, I switched to my drawing tool—Adobe Illustrator—and began creating the silhouette, or outline, of the microphone itself. As usual, I started by drawing the handle. Immediately after finishing the handle, I moved on to drawing the sound-capturing section. Typically, this part is shaped like a ball; however, as you can see, today’s design is more angular and less rounded. This stylistic choice is intended to make it look more modern compared to the older, spherical models. To be honest, I actually prefer the look of this particular shape.

Once I had finished those first two parts, the next step was to draw several lines inside the microphone—essentially dividing it into distinct sections. This technique makes the subsequent coloring process much easier for me. Take a look at how it turned out.

Now I was finally ready to start painting—you know, the most enjoyable part of the entire drawing process! First, I painted the background green; I felt it was a good color to help the subject of the drawing really stand out. Next, I painted the frame blue, matching the color of the inner background area. Around the edges of the microphone, I added a subtle glow of light yellow; this serves to prevent the blue of the microphone from blending into the blue of the background. It acts as a form of shading. Finally, the microphone itself was the very last element to be painted, using shades of light blue and black.
