My Weekends

Hello madlang ka-hives! It’s me, Angel, and today I want to share with you guys what happened during my weekends . By the way, I’m sorry it’s been months since I last posted on my blog . I just got so busy with school works, requirements, and activities that I didn’t have time to sit down and write . But now I’m back! Are you excited ? Let’s begin !

This weekend was special because the daughter of my uncle just arrived yesterday together with her husband and their children . It’s been a while since we saw each other, so it was really exciting to have a small family get-together again . Nothing beats the joy of being surrounded by family, especially when you get to eat and bond together .

Our first stop was Cocina Calza. This restaurant is quite cozy and has a nice atmosphere. When we entered, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful interior design . The walls had a mix of bricks and wood, and there were decorations that made the place look welcoming . The chairs and tables were neatly arranged, and the vibe felt relaxing. It’s really a nice spot if you want to spend quality time with family and friends while enjoying delicious food .

Now, let’s talk about the food! We ordered different kinds of dishes . Some of the highlights were the lasagna, which was so creamy and cheesy, and the soup that gave comfort to the rainy weather . I also had an ice-cold Coca-Cola that really refreshed me. We shared the food together, and it felt extra delicious because of the good company . Eating with family always brings a warm feeling to my heart .

Aside from the food, I enjoyed just looking around the place . They had shelves filled with decorations, wreaths hanging on the wall, and even small details like well-arranged utensils that added to the dining experience . It made me realize how little things matter to create a cozy atmosphere. We laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed every bite .

After we finished eating, we didn’t go home right away . Instead, we decided to head to my uncle’s house to relax . The house is surrounded by plants and greenery, which made the environment very refreshing. When we got there, I immediately felt the calmness . The outside was so peaceful, and the garden was blooming with flowers and trees . It was the perfect spot to just chill after a hearty meal .

Now here’s a funny part—my uncle’s children really caught my attention because of the way they spoke English . Their accent sounded so much like a British accent ! Honestly, I had to ask them to repeat what they were saying a couple of times because I couldn’t understand them right away . Hahaha! They were testing my patience, but at the same time, I couldn’t stop smiling because they were just too cute and adorable . Their voices and expressions made me laugh, and it added a unique memory to this weekend .

I also took some time to walk around the garden area . The pathway was surrounded by beautiful plants, and the air smelled fresh after the rain . Of course, I couldn’t resist taking some pictures ! I posed in front of the house, near the flowers, and even snapped some candid shots . It was fun capturing memories not just in my heart but also in photos that I can look back on someday .

This simple day reminded me that weekends don’t always have to be grand or expensive . Sometimes, the best weekends are those spent with the people you love the most, eating together, talking, laughing, and just being present with each other . Life can get so busy with school, work, and other responsibilities, but moments like this bring balance .

Another thing I realized is how important it is to slow down and appreciate the little things . The laughter of my cousins, the smile of my uncle’s daughter, the taste of lasagna, the feel of fresh air—all of these are simple joys that make life meaningful .

In this modern world, it’s easy to get caught up with social media, deadlines, and stress . But weekends like this remind me that family is the foundation of happiness . Even if we don’t see each other every day, when we gather, it feels like no time has passed . That’s the magic of family love .

Before the day ended, I sat for a while, looking at the garden while the sky slowly turned gray again . I thought to myself, “This is the kind of weekend I want to remember.” No big parties, no fancy places, just simple bonding, good food, and genuine happiness .
