Side Quest to My Novel

I've recently completed a 90,000 word part 1 of many novel. I've already started part 2. It is a very dark romantasy with some horror twists. In part 2, I created a side quest chapter.

Ok so this was not really done with a night vision camera. I just edited it that way to fit the story. However, what it was.. was pitch dark. A few little camera setting tricks made the environment look almost like daylight.

My general synapses of this side quest chapter was the main female protagonist needed a small break from lofe that led her to a lake cabin. She found some old vhs tapes and a player. She decided to see what was ok them and this is what she found!

As a creative in more genres than one, I love capturing some of my writing on film as well. It helps me bring life to my literary workings!

I really love how these turned out. Horror story, creepy, dark... Totally could be a real urban legend!

So this begs the question... If you found tapes with this on it, what would you do? Would you run away screaming? Chalk it up to nothing? Investigate further? Let me know in the comments!
