Viking Saga Part 1
It was a Turbulent Time
I did these photos late last year and I am known locally for producing some wild historically accurate pieces of photography/ art through my lens. I had several people approach me about doing a Norse Viking themed photoshoot!
I took 11 people into the woods (9 models and 2 behind the scene helpers). The production cost was massive. The results are fantastic... There are so many photos I will have to break this up in multiple parts!!!

Fun Facts
The Viking Age existed from approximately 793 AD to 1066 AD. It began with a raid on Lindisfarne and ended with the Battle of Stamford Bridge.
The Vikings originated in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway which is also referred to as Scandinavia.

Fun fact about this shooting location was just a mere week prior it was over 5 feet under water from the lake flooding! Luckily it went down just in time and the universe said this shoot was happening!

Do you notice their outfits? Vikings wore wool, linen, and animal skins. Men usually wore tunics and trousers, while women wore long dresses.

They also worshipped Gods such as Odin, Loki, Freya, and many more.

Things such as weapons were carefully crafted. Vikings were mainly farmers and only a few were raiders. It's a common misconception!
ISO 100 ★ 30mm ★ F2.8 ★ 1/250s
A famous Viking Warrior who led many raids was Leif Erickson. Oddly enough this person in the photo above is also named Leif!

I will be doing a part 2 and possibly a part 3 in the coming days. I have compiled this series into a magazine if you're interested in viewing it or purchasing a physical copy!
