Fuerteventura day 3: February 21 2023

A day to explore the area. We decided to walk from Caleta along the coast going north. There appeared to be a monument in the distance which attracted us so off we went.

In fact the white monument was part of what looked like a disused hotel, closed and boarded up! We turned around and walked back again. Along the way we found some more ground squirrels feasting on some nuts provided by tourists.

Refreshments when we got back to the harbour area was very welcome.

Later after some lunch at our hotel we walked to the beach to spend some time relaxing. It was very pleasant in the warm sunshine at about 21°C. Slightly breezy as it can be here in Fuerteventura.

Another very pleasant and relaxing day. Tomorrow we have booked to go on a grand tour of the island. It's an all day excursion so we will have many photos to share.
