Antes de cruzar las enormes puertas de RISINGSTAR MUSIC STUDIOS, Charlie y Lucas estaba muy nerviosos por ser la primera vez en un lugar como ese. Al entrar quedaron sorprendidos, ya que todo era muy moderno, en las paredes colgaban discos de oro, fotografías de artistas y pantallas donde se proyectaban los videos musicales de grandes artistas y en ese momento una recepcionista se acercó y les dijo —¡Bienvenidos, Charlie y Lucas! Los estábamos esperando— los dos se asustaron, pero sabían que iban por buen camino.

Mientras avanzaban, recorrieron varios pasillos llenos de estudios de grabación y en cada uno de ellos había una historia, una melodía y un sueño. Lucas observaba todo y le preguntó a Charlie —¿te imaginas tocar el banjo aquí?— Charlie sonrió mientras sujetaba con fuerza su banjo. Finalmente, llegaron a la sala donde los estaban esperando —¡Bienvenidos! Mi nombre es Richard Evans y soy el representante de RisingStar, he visto su trabajo y tenía ganada de verlo— los dos niños le dieron la mano y todos se sentaron.

Before walking through the massive doors of RISINGSTAR MUSIC STUDIOS, Charlie and Lucas were very nervous because it was their first time in a place like that. When they walked in, they were surprised—everything was so modern. Gold records hung on the walls, along with photographs of artists and screens playing music videos by famous artists. Just then, a receptionist approached them and said, “Welcome, Charlie and Lucas! We’ve been expecting you.” The two were startled, but they knew they were on the right track.

As they walked on, they passed through several hallways lined with recording studios, and in each one there was a story, a melody, and a dream. Lucas took it all in and asked Charlie, “Can you imagine playing the banjo here?” Charlie smiled as he clutched his banjo tightly. Finally, they arrived at the room where they were being waited for. “Welcome! My name is Richard Evans, and I’m the representative for RisingStar. I’ve seen your work and was looking forward to meeting you.” The two boys shook his hand, and they all sat down.

Richard continuó hablando y añadió —En RisingStar recibimos miles de canciones cada semana. Richard continued speaking and added, “At RisingStar, we receive thousands of songs every week. However, very few manage to convey something genuine, and your music does just that.” Lucas and Charlie couldn’t stop laughing, while Richard continued, “That’s why we want you to be part of our musical family, and we’ll present you with your official RisingStar letters.” — Charlie couldn’t believe it and said, “Does this mean we’re really part of RisingStar?” Richard smiled and replied, “That’s right—as of today, you’re part of our team.” After that, the three of them shook hands to seal that important agreement.

Al salir del edificio, Charlie y Lucas seguían mirando una y otra vez sus cartas, como si quisieran asegurarse de que todo aquello era real. El mismo auto los estaba esperando y durante el viaje hablaron de los estudios de grabación, de las canciones que querían escribir y de todos los sueños que ahora parecían estar mucho más cerca. Horas después llegaron a casa del abuelo de Charlie quien estaba tocando el banjo, donde ambos niños sacaron sus cartas de risignstar se las mostraron y por un instante no se lo podía creer y les dijo —Sabía que este día llegaría, nunca fue solo su talento lo que los llevó hasta aquí, fu su humildad, su amistad y el amor con el que tocaron cada nota— los tres se abrazaron y ahora Charlie y Lucas eran músicos de RisingStar.

As they left the building, Charlie and Lucas kept looking at their letters over and over again, as if they wanted to make sure it was all real. The same car was waiting for them, and during the ride they talked about recording studios, the songs they wanted to write, and all the dreams that now seemed so much closer. Hours later, they arrived at Charlie’s grandfather’s house, where he was playing the banjo. The two boys took out their letters from RisingStar and showed them to him. For a moment, he couldn’t believe it and said, “I knew this day would come— it wasn’t just your talent that brought you here—it was your humility, your friendship, and the love with which you played every note.” The three of them hugged, and now Charlie and Lucas were RisingStar musicians.
