Description from Strava: So I grumbled in my last post on Tuesday, regarding knee niggle that came from nowhere. I ran home from work on Monday completely fine, and then managed to do something to me knee while getting up from the sofa (getting old sucks!).
On tuesday I walked into work. The pain got worse throughout the day, resulting in lots of grimacing and complaining when ever I put pressure on the knee joint. I ended up walking home tuesday afternoon, and probably made it worse in the process.
Fortunately, Wednesday was a rest day, which was a good thing as I was limping as I walked to the bus stop this morning. I limped of the bus and round to my office where I sat and sulked while I tried to do some work. And then at some point mid-morning, I walked over to the printer to print some stuff off, and lo and behold! There was no pain in my knee at all!
I was suspicious and cautious all day, but when I walked to catch the bus home, there was still no pain. Utterly bizarre! And then still nothing when I walked into work this morning.
The only thing I can think of that could cause it is maybe a trapped nerve. Something that got caught in random movement on Monday, and managed to sort itself in a random movement on Wednesday
Hence I decided to do usual 9 mile run home after work... it was hot and sweaty and unpleasant, but the knee was totally fine.
er... touch wood! (I hope I haven't jinxed it now!!)
