Cooling down on a hot day
It's no fun being a black dog during a heat wave. Especially when where you live is gaining more and more hot asphalt pavement and less and less trees.
Rather than walk Max early in the morning then have him confined to the house going stir crazy until it's cool enough to walk him in the late evening, I took him to a stream a few minutes walk away.
He's now happily snoozing on his cool mat in my living room rather than whining at me asking why I haven't turned the temperature down outside for him to go play.
