Splinterlands | Explosive Weaponry Battle Challenge
Another Fun Rule Set is highlighted this week for the Share Your Battle Challenge which now also is called 'Battle Mage Secrest" in Splinterlands. This is the Explosive Weaponry Game Rule.
Playing Splinterlands manually in Wild League having many cards available really has gotten to the point where there simply isn't enough time to properly think out a great strategy. Just the process of thinking which Splinter let along which summoner to use already is a process that often requires to start over. Especially with game rules the require a very specific approach like the Explosive Weaponary which gives all monsters blast. This is one of those game rules that was introduced to make the Yodin Zaku Summoner a bit weaker since it equalizes the playing field. What I tend to do with this gale rule is either play a monster with Taunt in first place and one with Reflection Shield behind it along with multiple monsters that have the Snipe or Opportunity abilities. So the opponent possibly gets stuck having little use for the blast ability while you potentially do damage all across the board.
This surely was an interesting battle showcasing the many possible scenarios in Splinterlands when both players have wide collections to choose from to make sure my tank and monsters have some suvivability thanks to the +1 Armor from the summoner. In first place I put the Crystal Werewolf which has enough health and also counters Melee and Magic Damage. The Reflection Shield ability of the Venator Kinjo made it a great option in 2nd place also because there was only 12 mana to spent. I completed the line-up playing the Furious Chicken, the Celestial Harpy which was set to do a lot of damage (I'll be looking to get that to level 6), the Armorsmith as it is able to attack and gives the Armor Repair ability which ended up winning the match. In Last place I put another 0 mana cards in the Soul Fiend
My opponent opted for a strategy to actually counter my strategy with the legendary summoner which reduces Melee attack with -1 also playing a monster with shield which is protected from 1 melee damage. So all my damage done to his tank came from the Thorns ability from the Crystal Werewolf which stayed alive because the 1 armor kept being repaired.
If anything, this battle is giving me confidence in Splinterlands and the actual gameplay potential it has while right now it all too much is a game of getting money out of whales their pockets and an economic model that needs to hold up instead of just to most fun game possible for everyone.
