Splinterlands | Mycelic Slipswawn Challenge

Cards with the Taunt Ability are interesting and extremely useful as they allow you to direct where the damage is going to keeping other monsters alive much longer. In the upcoming Riftwatchers set, there will de a nerf to this doing double damage to them. The Mycelic Slipspawn is a solid pick that I use all the time on my alt account most of the time in last place. Especially with the +1 Magic damage from the Obsidian summoner and in combination with the Spirit Hoarder which provides some heal and also gets the +1 Magic attack it can be pretty powerful.

With slow game rules and only rare & common monsters available, the Earth summoner tends to be a good pick at it has a lot of slower cards with Magic attack. I played my Flesh Golem in first place followed by the Venari Spellsmith, the Wood Nymph, Mushroom Seer, & the Goblin Psychic. In the last place, I played my Mycelic Slipswawn.

Despite being up against a Level 3 Yodin full of Ranged monsters, I easily managed to win thanks to the Mycelic Slipswawn card and the slower speed of my monsters. The fact that Magic is also far more powerful than ranged which can't attack in 1st place also made a world of difference.
