The Thousand Eyes.

A traveling merchant representing the Thousand Eyes guild arrived at the settlement. They established a permanent presence, offering exotic wares in exchange for opals. Meanwhile, building the local stables unlocked valuable mount training and allowed for riding incredible creatures like Hati and Havardr.

A curious new merchant arrived at the settlement with many goods and tall tales to share. I approached the visitor, who was waiting specifically to speak with the clan's representative. The Anglo-Saxon man asked if Eivor was the leader of this place, but being honest, I made Eivor replied that he speaks on behalf of the leader.

The merchant did not let Eivor speak much further and eagerly explained that his group had traveled here on behalf of an ancient guild known as the Thousand Eyes.

Accompanying the merchant was a mysterious individual who appeared to be a young child.

The merchant quickly corrected this assumption, explaining that this dwarf-like figure was actually Reda, the formidable head of their far-reaching guild. Eivor was understandably confused by the bizarre dynamic, especially since Reda seemed to already know Eivor's name.

Eivor inquired about what services they could offer each other. Reda explained that his guild could connect Eivor to the markets of Egypt and all of England in exchange for a small fee.

The trade deal sounded highly beneficial, and the merchants made plans to stay in the settlement for a long time.

With the guild successfully welcomed, I decided to focus on improving the settlement by constructing some long-overdue buildings.

After building Stable and Aviary, I went to speak with Rowan, the knowledgeable man put in charge of managing the stables.

Rowan explained that I could train and upgrade personal mounts directly from this new facility. Investing in mount lessons unlocked superior passive abilities that greatly improved the general riding experience.

I purchased swimming lessons for 150 silver, which instantly allowed mounts to traverse deep water quickly. Then I also purchased endurance training to maximize mount stamina efficiency, followed by strength training to boost their health pool.

After completing the training, Eivor browsed Rowan's available stock of mounts. In addition to a standard horse, Eivor owned two highly exotic creatures. The first was Hati, a massive and intimidating wolf, and the second was Havardr, a legendary, glowing feline that looked as though it were made of fire.

I decided to test out Hati first. Riding the giant wolf felt incredible, and its swift, powerful strides would make traveling through the settlement feel effortless.

Curious to compare the two legendary beasts, I returned to Rowan to swap Hati for Havardr. Summoning the fiery cat revealed an equally stunning mount. Though Havardr was noticeably smaller than the wolf, the flaming feline ran with amazing agility.

While riding, I even passed a small domestic cat in the settlement that seemed completely unfazed by the fiery predator.

Ultimately, I preferred the raw power and size of the giant wolf. I swapped back to Hati, confident that the mighty beast would easily strike fear into any enemies encountered on the road.
