Ingredients
🍓 6 medium-sized strawberries, sliced
🍚 1/4 cup granulated sugar
💧 1/2 cup water
☕ Coffee grounds for a double espresso shot
💧 Water for a double espresso shot
🧊 Several ice cubes
🥤 200ml Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water
🍓 1/2 fresh strawberry
Instructions
1- Prepare Strawberry Syrup:
Slice approx. 6 fresh strawberries into thin rounds, and place them in a small saucepan.
Add 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 cup water.
Simmer over medium-high heat, stirring regularly with a wooden spoon, until the strawberries soften and the syrup thickens with a vibrant red hue.
Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to separate the liquid, discarding the solids.
Funnel the syrup into a glass bottle and let it cool.
2- Brew Espresso:
Fill the lower chamber of the Brewtech Espresso Moka Pot with water.
Add coffee grounds to the filter basket, tamping them down with a coffee tamper.
Assemble the pot, positioning it over a KOKIDO heat diffuser on the stovetop.
Brew over medium heat until espresso fills the upper chamber.
3- Assemble the Drink:
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
Pour about 1/4 to 1/3 of the glass with strawberry syrup over the ice.
Add Fever-Tree Premium Indian Tonic Water until the glass is two-thirds full.
Gently pour espresso over tonic to create distinct layers.
Garnish with 1/2 strawberry on the rim and insert a metal straw.
