Ingredients
โ 2 oz. double shot espresso Whole Latte Love Malabar Gold Espresso beans
๐ซ 3/4 oz. Monin Spicy Chocolate Syrup
๐ซ 1 oz. Monin Dark Chocolate Syrup
๐ฅ 8 oz. steamed milk, start with 6 oz. cold milk
๐ซ Cocoa powder, for garnish
๐ฟ Cinnamon stick, for garnish and stirring
Instructions
1- Grind Espresso Beans:
- Use the Baratza Forte grinder to grind the Whole Latte Love Malabar Gold Espresso beans to a fine consistency suitable for espresso making.
2- Brew Espresso:
- Use the Profitec Pro 500 espresso machine. Attach a standard portafilter filled with tamped ground espresso.
- Place the Rattleware measuring glass under the spouts and brew a double shot (2 oz.) of espresso.
3- Steam Milk:
- Pour 6 oz. of cold milk into a 12 oz. Rattleware steaming pitcher.
- Purge the steam wand of the Profitec Pro 500, then steam the milk by placing the wand just below the surface.
- Aerate the milk by lowering the pitcher slightly for a "ripping" sound and then submerging the wand deeper once aerated.
- Stop steaming when the pitcher is too hot to hold comfortably.
4- Combine Ingredients:
- In a clear glass mug, pour the brewed espresso.
- Add Monin Spicy Chocolate Syrup and Monin Dark Chocolate Syrup.
- Stir the concoction gently using a cinnamon stick.
5- Add Steamed Milk:
- Tap and swirl the milk pitcher to eliminate bubbles for smooth microfoam.
- Pour the milk into the mug, aiming for the center to integrate the microfoam.
6- Garnish and Serve:
- Lightly dust the top with cocoa powder.
- Serve with the cinnamon stick in the drink for added flavor.
