HOW TO MAKE COLD BREW COFFEE | the easy way

Embrace the refreshing taste of homemade cold brew coffee, perfect for sweltering summer days! This easy and budget-friendly recipe delivers a smooth, mellow caffeinated treat that you can prepare effortlessly at home. Never overpay at a café again.

Ingredients

☕ 1 cup Organic Coffee Beans
💧 4 cups Water
🥥 Homemade Cashew Milk

Instructions

1- Grind the Coffee Beans:

  • Use your Cuisinart coffee grinder to grind 1 cup of organic coffee beans to a medium-coarse texture, similar to what you would use for a Chemex coffee maker.

2- Mix Coffee Grounds and Water:

  • In a Mason Jar, combine 3/4 cup of the ground coffee with 3 cups of water.
  • If using a larger container, use the 1 cup coffee to 4 cups water ratio.

3- Shake and Steep:

  • Secure the lid tightly on the jar and shake well to ensure that all coffee grounds are fully immersed.
  • Place the jar on your countertop and let the mixture steep for 12 to 15 hours at room temperature.

4- Strain the Coffee:

  • After steeping, prepare a large measuring bowl and position a fine mesh sieve over it.
  • Line the sieve with two layers of cheesecloth.
  • Carefully pour the steeped coffee through the cheesecloth-lined sieve into the bowl to get a clear concentrate.

5- Store the Concentrate:

  • Once strained, decant the cold brew concentrate back into a clean Mason Jar and refrigerate until use.

6- Serve Your Cold Brew:

  • Pour the concentrate over ice and dilute with water or homemade cashew milk to your liking.
  • A splash of milk or creamer can add a rich, creamy texture, if desired.
