Ingredients
☕️ 3 cups Lavazza Espresso Italiano Whole Bean Coffee 100% Arabica
🌿 2 cloves
⭐️ 1 star anise
🪵 1.5 cinnamon sticks
🍫 2-3 pieces Ibarra Chocolate Hot Chocolate Drink Tablets optional
💧 4 cups water
🥥 1-2 tablespoons coconut sugar
🥛 1-2 tablespoons Organic Valley Heavy Whipping Cream
Instructions
1- Prepare Coffee Mix:
- In a Ninja blender, combine 3 cups of Lavazza Espresso Italiano whole bean coffee with 2 cloves, 1 star anise, and 1.5 cinnamon sticks.
- Blend until the mixture is a smooth, fine powder, approximately 4 seconds.
2- Storage:
- Transfer the ground coffee and spice mixture to a glass container with a clasp lid for freshness.
3- Brewing:
- Add 4 heaping tablespoons of the ground coffee mixture into an Orisell French press.
- Using an Orisell electric kettle, heat water until hot.
- Pour a small amount of hot water into the French press, just enough to soak the coffee grounds, and let it “bloom” for 30 seconds.
- Add more hot water to fill up to a total of 4 cups. Let it steep for another 45 seconds to 1 minute.
4- Serving:
- In a glass mug, add 1-2 tablespoons of coconut sugar and stir in 1-2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream.
- Slowly press down the French press plunger.
- Pour the brewed coffee into the mug and stir to combine.
5- Optional:
- For a richer, chocolate-infused coffee, blend 2-3 pieces of Ibarra hot chocolate drink tablets with the coffee beans in step 1.

- Using coconut sugar provides a warm, sweet taste without the jitters that white sugar might cause.
- Leftover coffee can be kept for a refreshing iced coffee later.
