Café Batido

Café Batido, commonly known as whipped coffee, is a delightful and visually appealing beverage perfect for coffee lovers. This easy-to-make drink combines creamy whipped coffee and chilled milk over ice, resulting in a rich, frothy experience with every sip. Whether you're looking to impress guests or enjoy a refreshing coffee break, Café Batido is sure to satisfy.

Ingredients

☕️ 2 tablespoons Instant Coffee
🍚 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
🚰 2 tablespoons Hot Water
🧊 Ice Cubes, approximately to fill the serving glass
🥛 Milk, enough to fill two-thirds of the serving glass
🍫 Cocoa Powder or Instant Coffee, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1- Prepare the Coffee Mixture:

  • Place a mound of instant coffee granules onto a plate.
  • Add an equal amount of granulated sugar.
  • Pour an equal amount of hot water over the coffee and sugar mixture.
  • Using a fine-mesh strainer, vigorously whip the mixture on the plate until it turns into a thick, frothy, light brown cream. This could take about 5-10 minutes.

2- Assemble the Drink:

  • Fill a double-walled glass mug with ice cubes.
  • Pour milk over the ice, filling about two-thirds of the glass.
  • Spoon generous dollops of the whipped coffee mixture on top of the milk, allowing it to gently sit on the surface.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or more instant coffee if desired.

3- Serving:

  • Insert a clear reusable straw into the drink and enjoy.
