Hitting a Wall, Language Dilemma

Consistency is key. Without it, routines fail, motivation dips, and bad habits return. That is what I have learnt this year. I have been on Duolingo for a while now, and although the app has its good, bad and ugly, I have stuck with it to keep my streak and learn a language in the process. I am currently learning Italian. Furthermore, I chose Italian because I had planned a trip to Rome, and it was a good choice because just 12 months later I went back to Italy, this time to Naples. Unfortunately, after learning A nice bit of Italian, I seem to have hit a wall in my learning. It could be that Duolingo can't teach you on its own, that there are far more things required to learn a language, or that I am not dedicating enough time to it. Either way, that hasn't thrown me off trying to learn, and I have actually been thinking, what if I throw a second language into the mix? Sure, I am really giving myself a workout trying to learn two languages together, but would it be a good choice?

My second choice of language to learn would be between French and Spanish. French because I learned some basic French in school. Spanish because it is one of the most spoken languages in the world. I have heard that Italian and Spanish are very similar, with them being "Love Languages", but maybe I'm wrong.
