New Month, Fresh Start, Powering Up
It is June already; where has this year gone? It has been flying by. For me, June signals a fresh start for me in which I reflect on the previous month and see what I need to work on or keep doing the same, so I don't fall back into old habits. I am still chipping away at my goals, for the most part on track with them all. I have still kept in good spirits despite financial struggles, being on a low-hour contract job. Overall, the year is still going well for me.
Some new things I have looked into recently are "side hustles"; I'm talking about those online survey sites, little online tasks I can do and helping out where I can. I am not treating any of these as a main source of income. For me, it is more about learning something new, devoting some free time to something where I would otherwise be sitting around bored, and if I do earn it will be put towards my hobbies and future Hive meetups. Another new thing I have been looking into is Football. Over the past few weeks, I have been getting back into the sport. I played it 24/7 growing up, but with time, friends grow apart, and life gets busy, and football is something you need time to do and people to do it with. Thankfully, my friend, who recently turned 35, has now retired from "Sunday League" and is now eligible to play in the veterans leagues. I'm not 35, I can't involve myself in the team for match days, but with the team struggling for players when they do their midweek training sessions and the guys being very friendly and laid back, they are happy for me to help out and make up the numbers in the training matches. They are a very good bunch of people, big on mental health and don't care for ability levels, which is A big help for me as my confidence sometimes lacks. Lastly, the thing I have also looked into is joining more book clubs, and now it forces me to get into better reading habits.
With the fresh month, I am also deciding to power up HIVE. I believe this is my first time taking part in Hive power-up day/month, but I could be wrong. Regardless of Hive value and drama I believe in the chain. I enjoy creating content, reading content and connecting with the community. I have made great friendships here, and I have been around for a long time through the good and bad. In short, you are stuck with me 🤣
A new month ahead and more hard work to put in to achieve my goals. I will conclude for today, thanks for reading.
