Sore Muscles & Sweats: My Sunday Morning Run
It's Sunday, and it means a day off from work. I always wanted to have my run in the morning to start my day. I woke up around 5:30 and prepared myself for my run. I wore my workout clothes and had my cup of coffee. I only ate a biscuit to energize myself and have my light breakfast.
I started my stretching workout, and it lasted for almost 10 minutes. After that, I already hit the road and started running. The sun is already rising when I get out, but the neighborhood is still silent. There are no other people in the streets yet.
I finished my first 3 kilometers with my sweat going through my face. I could also feel the soreness in my feet, but I wanted to continue anyway. I am looking forward to running about 5 kilometers this morning, and I am almost there. The sun is already heating my whole body.
I can see the beauty in our community when running. The rice fields and the scenic view of the mountains make my runs perfect. And I am always grateful to have such a community like this.
It's already 5 kilometers, and I am feeling tired in my feet. The sweat is all over my face and body. The sun even made my face turn red and hot. I still continued running until I hit more than 5 kilometers. Now, I am thinking of running for a few more minutes.
I got home tired and started my cool-down exercise for like 5 minutes. Then, I checked my Strava application and smartwatch to see how many kilometers I ran this morning. I was shocked that I had run for about 7.13 kilometers already. I was only looking forward to 5 kilometers.
Despite being tired and feeling my feet sore, it still felt good running for more than an hour. It felt like it energized my body more and made me feel productive.
