Shawarma Discovery: Satisfying Our Late Night Cravings

After coming home from work, we tend to enjoy our rest inside our room. My partner would watch some reels on Facebook and TikTok, while I sometimes focus on writing blog content. We prepare some coffee for the night, but there are times when we decide to go out and look for some snacks.

It was already 8:30 in the evening when my partner asked if I would like to have some shawarma. I said yes, and asked him back where we could buy it. He told me that he saw a street food vendor nearby selling shawarma, and we just walked a few steps before we got there. It's located on the popular bridge in the neighborhood, and other people are buying and eating in the area.

I walked towards the vendor and ordered their Buy 1 Take 1 promo. I also told them to add extra cheese to both, and then some hot sauce too. Since there were other customers who ordered before me, the vendor asked if we could wait for about 15-20 minutes. I asked my partner, and he said it's okay. I told the vendor that we were willing to wait, and they started preparing the shawarma wrap for everyone.

My partner and I just sat down for a while. We were watching videos on social media, and also talking about random topics once in a while. I watched the vendor prepare our orders, and I couldn't stop admiring their hard work and dedication to running the business. They were riding on a tricycle together with everything they needed, and it means they do all this rain or shine.

I checked out the way they cook and prepare everything, from slicing meat, putting it in sauce, and adding the other ingredients. They did it so smoothly. I also bought some soda drinks from them since they happen to offer some too. After paying up and getting everything, I went back to my partner and told him we could now go home so we could enjoy the snacks we bought. It's just a simple yet meaningful evening walk for us, and we're to live just a few steps away from the street vendors. We can eat our cravings anytime!
