Wedding Bells and Mirror Shots: The Start of a Memorable Wedding Day (Part 1)

I was still a young child learning about life, and then I received a wedding invitation from a childhood friend. It snapped like a finger that we were already in our mid-20s. We were at the age of marrying, settling down, and starting a family. When I got the invitation, I was so happy and excited for her, and I know she's going to take a different path now as a married person. And let me share a few glimpses of her wedding before, during, and after.

My partner and I were invited to the wedding, so we planned on booking an Airbnb near the reception together with one of my friends. On the wedding day, we all woke up early to prepare ourselves for this special moment. We had our quick breakfast and took a shower. We were all so busy dressing up early since the wedding would happen at 10:00 in the morning.

After all the preparations, we booked a ride going to the hotel. Even though it's just a few minutes away from where we were staying, we wanted to get there earlier than the scheduled time. And while waiting, we made a final outfit check in the mirror together and took a snap.

I also managed to take a quick selfie. Then, I couldn't stop myself from being proud of losing almost 10 kilos to wear the dress I bought for this wedding. I bought it when I was still at 59, and then before the wedding, I weighed 51. It was such an achievement for me, so I took the chance to take a mirror shot of me wearing the dress happily.

When the driver texted that he was already in the lobby, we already went outside and hopped inside the car. We got inside the hotel, and the receptionist assisted us to the elevator when we told her we were guests at the wedding taking place in their hotel. Of course, another mirror shot inside the elevator. We're on our way to the 31st floor!

Upon arriving at the reception area, there were already a few guests and family gathered at the tables. And I was really grateful to reunite with my childhood friend, Irene, at this wedding. She is acquainted with my friend's husband, that's why. It was a quick reunion, but my heart felt so happy. I will share more snaps from the wedding in my next blog!
