Blooming Flowers In Our Backyard

In most houses in the province or the countryside, there is a backyard where plants and a variety of lovely flowers are taken care of. It has been part of most people's lives, as what I have seen by living here in our province my entire life. And of course, our backyard is not an exception.

I have seen my mother grow her mini garden at home, and also my grandmother in maintaining the cleanliness and liveliness of our backyard by planting different flowers. It seemed like watering them has been part of their daily routine, and I see them enjoy what they are doing. Recently, I joined my grandmother in spending time with her flowers, and I asked if I could take pictures of them.

It’s the time of the year again, where flowers are starting to bloom. It looks like it is their moment to shine too. I love the brilliant colors and the lovely appearances of flowers, especially when they are at the peak of their beauty. Since my grandmother really loves planting, I asked her what does she get from doing it. And if she ever get tired of watering them every single day.

Then, she responded that she enjoys doing it even though it's tiring most of the time. She even mentioned that she finds planting as her stress reliever, particularly when flowers start to show up like this purple flower below.

One of my favorites to look at is the purple flowers I attached above, also known as Mexican Petunia or Bluebell. I don’t know how to call it exactly in Filipino. Aside from the vibrant color, I love that it produces more than one flower. If you have one of this in your garden or backyard, I know you already have an idea of what I am talking about.

The next flower that I have captured is the Adenium, or most people call it Desert Rose. It’s a pink flower with lovely petals like roses. My mom has plenty of this, since it adds up color to our backyard. The flower also look fresh, and the details on the petals are great too. It looks like a simple version of roses to me.

Also, my grandmother has planted Red Ginger Flower. She has so many of this maybe because of its floral design and its beautiful color. My niece loves playing with this flower, but the ants won’t let her grab them for too long. I think this is easy to plant because I have been seeing my grandmother do it.

Now let me show you my favorite orchid. Aside from the appearance, I also fell in love with the color and vibe of this flower. It shows me purity and calmness through its elegant white color. Have you seen a Pigeon Orchid? I have no idea why it’s called that way, but I think it’s because of its bird-like appearance.

There are other flowers around us, but they will be on the next #HiveGarden blogs from me. These lovely flowers that I shared today reminded me that there are certain moments in life when it’s your time to bloom and glow – maybe not now, but soon. It would be best to always look at the beauty in everything, just like how I saw the lovely features of the flowers I shared with you on this blog.
