A Quick Coffee Break with Nature
Most people's misconception about having an eight-hour a day work is that we don't get to have a life outside of work. Like, we just go home to take some rest and work again the next day. But little did they know, we also make sure that we find time to spend a moment outside home and work.
Yesterday, when I got home from work, I felt like I need a cup of iced coffee and a nature break at the same time. Since we live near a river and a mountain, my partner said that we should grab a coffee and have a quick snack at the brigde where the river is also located.
Before heading to the river, we first dropped by on a local café in our community and bought our all-time favorite — caramel macchiatto. We just waited for a few minutes, and while waiting, my partner went to the grocery stop we have nearby to grab some chips and other snacks that we can eat.
When we got everything we needed, from the foods to drinks, we already walked going to the bridge. There are also a few people spending their afternoon bonding with their family and friends, and it's a normal thing here in our place.
We saw a good spot under the bridge, where we could see the mountains and also witness the water flowing. We could also see the sky with birds flying above us. It was a very perfect spot for our coffee break. We took a picture together and shared the foods we bought.
And of course, here's a few selfies from your author. I was really my cup of iced coffee here, plus having the sight of nature made it even more amazing.
Maybe to some people, this is just a simple moment, but for me who spends almost the day working at the office, this kind of moment is really priceless. And I need to do this once in a while to make sure that I also get a life outside the exhausting and tiring work.
Even though it only took us a few minutes of conversation before we decided to go back home, I could say that it was worth it. And I'll definitely do it again and share it with everyone.
