Thriving In The Rain (Phone Photography Contest #118)

Hello #feelgood friends, I am actually feeling good after my team thrived through the rainy day.

What started like a normal day yesterday June 25 at the office quickly turned to a wet day. The supply chain team got a signal from the indenting team on the arrival of our goods a few days ago which is expected to be delivered at the warehouse for a quick offloading and returning of the container to the wharf to avoid demurrage.

The team has made adequate arrangement with offloaders to quickly turn up in the morning, however things took a drastic turn when the sky became cloudy and within minutes the truck arrived, the rain started, it was very heavy with floods meanwhile the clock is already ticking with a reminder from the accounts to do everything possible to avoid demurrage which wil add to the operational cost.

We urged the driver to move closer to the warehouse and pleaded with the loaders to start offloading. Immediately the truck was opened, within a few minutes of resuming operation, the rain stopped and we beat the timing. No demurrage was charged.

Conversely, our team that went for exhibition also had the taste of the rain as they returned early narrating of how the rain brought many investors to their stand some of whom where looking for a place to perch while waiting for the rain to stop.

We thrived through the team and made ourselves proud of great productivity.
