What's the best financial decision you've ever made?

There have been various economic crises all over the world, with my country of origin included. Navigating these periods is challenging. However, a saying that when the road is rough, the tough keep going.

At this point, making great financial decisions helps reduce the burden, making the road easier. In all these situations and as a human, I have made a series of financial decisions such as investing in my training and development and career-wise, knowing that the future will hold me accountable if I do not take credible steps to improve myself.

Amongst those decisions, the best of them all was investing in a telecommunications stock that was announced; however, citizens did not take it seriously, and there were challenges of scarce resources as the average citizen looks forward to eating three square meals as a priority before thinking about anything else.

So, over the last two years, my neighbour informed me about the stock and the massive dividends he earned as his return on investment. That day, while excited and sharing his story about the stock, he encouraged me to immediately invest, which I did. A few months later, the stock doubled in price, and the dividends also made sense.

Looking back, I have found out that this financial decision has paved the way for my financial freedom and, as a result, positioned me for better opportunities in the stock market. Again, I noticed that making good financial decisions does not solely depend on the accumulation of money but on how prudent we are in managing such resources through the deployment of sound decisions as a tool to generate a better return on investment.

Therefore, I will conclude by saying that those financial decisions have boosted my confidence in financial management and continuous learning and development. It has also prepared me for a future that is laden with opportunities and a lifetime of benefits.
