Childhood Experience- If Only I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time
NOSTALGIA AND CHILDHOOD
Hello #scifimultiverse friends. Happy new week. Growing up, I grew up in a rural locality. However, we went to a mission school. And as a result, we belonged to special wings of the school, such as the marching and sports teams. Then, my dad was a civil servant; he always took us to the urban city to get a taste of what it felt like. When we get there, my elder brother will use that opportunity to get enough chocomilo. I don’t understand how he convinces my Dad to buy a packet for him.
However, when he is given an assignment at the farm, he will take us with him, convincing us to help him while promising us Chocomilo as a reward. There is a clause that we should be singing “choco choco chocomilo, take your own one by one, choco choco, chocomilo.” This was the rhyme associated with the brand while we were growing up.
However, other favourite snacks motivate me to go to school; they include Nasco, Rover, and curly worly biscuits. Once I remember those snacks, I feel motivated to go to school. There is a supermarket where my Dad always takes us in the early morning to get the biscuits. Each time I ask him if we are going to the supermarket and he affirms, I feel excited and very happy that day.
Furthermore, there are local snacks such as kulikuli, Gurundi, and chin chin, which I also love eating. Each time my Mum goes to the market, I do ask her to buy some for me. After the purchase, I use it to prepare my homework. Sometimes it is brought to pacify me while my hair is plaited to distract me from the pain.
Additionally, growing up, I played some interesting games with my friends, including Ludo, Nyo, and what. Then, if you win me many times, I will become emotional and sometimes cry. So to avoid such embarrassment, once I am beaten several times, I will run away lol. But that does not change the fact that I love the game and can play it for hours without getting bored if only I am on the winning side. But you know, once the game turns against me once or twice, I pick race. Because once bitten, twice shy.
If I’m to bring back a snack, it would be Nasco biscuit and Trebor sweets, because they are our family's favourite snack and sweets all the time. This is because my mum won’t allow us to buy other ones. If it is not a Trebor or Nasco biscuit, forget it. Today, I searched and kept searching for the Trebor sweet to no avail. The mint is second to none. On the Nasco biscuit, the shortcake is a full meal for me. I use them sometimes for breakfast or lunch snacks. These moments are unforgettable; such times will remain evergreen in my memory. How I wish I could bring back the hands of time.
