Born For the Quiet Life

Many people are where they don't want to be because they have no choice; someone who can't eat without others gifting him food can't be selective of food, he can only do with what he is offered.

Some people are living in places they don't like because they don't have what it takes to build it in their desired location. Most people who buy land in a rural area to build a house do so because the land is cheap there. If money were not a problem, most would have preferred the city to build, but not everyone loves the urban area. Some really prefer spending more time with nature than with people.

The fear of evil people like bandits, kidnappers, is what stopped people from living their dreams in a grassland with just them and their family, because evil can strike their home anytime, and there would be no one to save them... This is why most people prefer to live in cities, which are safer compared to grassland and other rural areas.

There was a man whom I met in the estate where I am living, and he revealed that he left his house because armed robbers attacked him and left with his car. He claims it is better to be safe and alive in a rented apartment than to keep getting robbed in his house far from the city... This is what causes nightmares for many people.

If money and security were not a problem...

I have lived in both Rural and Urban areas, and there is something peaceful about walking down the street in the rural area without meeting a single soul. Maybe that is why city life never felt right to me. The noise, crowd, and the rush! It drains me in ways I can't explain.

Sometimes it even gives me anxiety just seeing so many faces in one place, but life changes, and we learn to adjust, even when it is uncomfortable.

I am someone who loves to live in a serene place. A quiet, calm area... Far from the disturbance of others... Somewhere my mind can breathe, somewhere my spirit can rest. I don't like crowds nor do I cherish noisy places, I prefer Nature's gift, the trees, breeze, and the soft silence of peace...

Added to the quietness and peace, I would have to plant my crops and flowers, and spend more time with nature, growing some of my food is something I would really love to do, and getting attached to the domestic animals.

I remember the chickens my parents reared years ago. I watched them grow, eating, running, and living their small lives. Somewhere along the line, I grew attached to two of the chicks, and it felt good feeding them, and when they finally grew big enough to be slaughtered for food, it hurt me more than I expected.

I had to plead with my parent not to kill my favorite, they listened until it was the only cock left! I could not save it anymore; it was killed, and I ate the meat.

Life in the rural area would allow me to experience such bonding with nature again... So Rural all the way!
