The sermon of brother Eli is just a reminder that we must distribute between the will of God and the choice of human. He's saying that everything we walk today is as a result of God's will.

It's to sanctify scriptures and to separate God's character. The Bible constantly shows that God expresses the will through the commandments yet He does not force that obedience. If He did, sin would not have existed in our world.

The teaching of God is the law of worship and obedience. It should flow from faith and should not be forced. This is why Abel and all disobedience should occur not because God approves them but because He allows our human nature to sin.
