MCGI TOPIC REVIEW | What Is Religion?

We have been reminded that true religion is not a labor or a ritual, it is a way of life which is rooted in worshipping God in spirit and in truth.

James 1:36 gives us a powerful explanation, if a person claims to be religious but cannot
control their tongue, they only speak hatred, deceit or evil then their religion will be
in vain. This shows that true worship must transform body and character, not just that belief.

This emphasis on the church of the living God as the pillar and the ground of the truth. In 1 Timothy 3.15 this shows that God's instruction to how to live and speak and to serve and not just based on human opinion, testing ourselves in the Bible. The teaching in Romans 1 warns against false worship, serving creatures, images or anything created instead of the Creator.

This is a religion that replaces God with images, human tradition and all truth. This is a challenge to everyone to keep examining their worship, asking ourselves whether we are truly honoring the Creator. Or our spirit.
Which reflects the obedience to God.

This religion is not just every single man, it's just that sincere worship, obedience, living and faithfulness to the truth being within the scripture.
