Alone
Alone is a painting somewhere between beautiful and haunting. There is a sense of stillness on an ocean almost devoid of waves, adopting a minor like quality. The night sky feels like an extension of the water, inheriting its near emptiness, yet with patches of greater density stars. There is a sense of serenity or anxiety depending on the emotions of the viewer, for a single ship in the dark waters sailing by the light of the moon. Regardless, it is hard to argue against its splendor.
